Ingredients
2 cups KANAKI KATAIFI cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon butter (melted)
1 ½ cups pistachio paste
2 cups milk chocolate
Optional for decoration:
⅓ cup white chocolate
3 drops green food coloring
Equipment
Silicone mold for chocolates
Preparation - Steps
Prepare the Kataifi:
Untangle the kataifi pastry and cut it into small pieces.
In a deep non-stick pan, melt the butter and mix it well with the kataifi. Sauté it until it becomes crispy and lightly golden.
Add the pistachio paste to the kataifi and stir until evenly combined.
White Chocolate with Color (Optional for Decoration):
Melt the white chocolate in a bain-marie or microwave.
Add 3 drops of green food coloring and mix well until the color is uniform.
Place the colored white chocolate in a piping bag. Drizzle it in a zig-zag pattern into a silicone mold for chocolates.
First Layer of Milk Chocolate:
Melt the milk chocolate and pour it into the silicone mold, covering the white chocolate decoration (if used).
Place the mold in the refrigerator until the chocolate sets.
Add the Kataifi Mixture:
Once the chocolate has hardened, remove the mold from the fridge and add the kataifi mixture into the mold.
Final Milk Chocolate Layer:
Pour another layer of melted milk chocolate over the kataifi to seal it.
Return the mold to the refrigerator and chill until the chocolate is completely firm.
Ready to Serve:
When the chocolate is fully set, remove the pieces from the silicone mold.
